Beach Education

Yesterday my class and room 19 went to Waimarama Beach for a trip. We learn't lots of new things like water safety, using the correct equipment on the IRB and 10 rules. In the morning before morning tea we did a warm up with Karen and then went to separate groups and learned about different things. The were teaching us about Surf Life Saving. I do surf so I new quite a few thing about it but there were some things I didn't know and I learned then. The best thing was when we had 30 minutes of free play.

Sgraffito Art

For Art, Room 22 have been doing Sgraffito Art. We had to  make a silhouette out of newspaper  of a healthy body shape. Colour in a white piece with all different colours of pastel. Paint black tempera paint over the colours, wait for it to dry and scratch your newspaper silhouette onto it. My art is a person running.
